A ‘How To’ Guide To Working Together

I heard

that you were in the market for custom work! I realize the semantics of hiring someone to do this might be a little foggy, especially if this is your first time working with someone as professional and skillful as myself. Here, (wipes chip dust on robe) take my hand and let me guide you!

First of all, Thank you for being here! Even if I play it real cool, I’m flattered that you want to work together. Your first move is to shoot me an email. Save yourself from being affronted by your ever expanding inbox and head over to my Services tab! There you will jot a message about what kind of work you’re interested in, providing as much info as you can. There's no structure to this, something like, “Hey Emily! I have this thing I’m interested in having made! I’m thinking this kind of style and maybe this kind of color palette!” I’ll get back to you within 1-2 business days of receiving your message to exchange salutations and coordinate a consultation so we can get serious.

Once we set up a teleconference I get to work on my initial research. I do this to come to our meeting as prepared as I can, this is why providing as much information as possible in your message is important! A template of queries is created custom to your job. During our call we’ll share some conversation, some laughs, you’ll ask me about my family and I’ll insist you share your BBQ secret with me; Once I’ve acquired all the necessary info I’ll give you a quote for the job and a realistic timeline of when to expect the final product!

Wait, How are quotes made?: Look at you, top of your class. I’m glad you asked - This type of work may seem like it takes no time at all, but that’s not true! Before I get started putting pen to paper I do hours of research on your project. Then there’s the Technology that I regularly maintain: Up-to-date hardware, the latest software, art materials, packaging supplies and so on used to adhere to client and company standards! My belief is that solid preparation and reliable resources enable me to deliver. Wether it’s a specific illustration style, a portrait of your home or a graphic logo design, Im always working hard to hone and refine my craft to best suit your needs! I’m also a small business that is working hard to keep the lights on so I appreciate your patronage!

And that’s all there is to it. So whenever you’re ready to create that design, head over to the website and let request spill onto that blank email canvas. I’m looking forward to hearing from you and again, thanks for being here!

xx,

Em
